Description: You are bidding on an antique Illinois Watch Co pocket watch. Inside back says Philadelphia Watch Case Co Guaranteed 20 Years and there is a crown in the center and the number 8469824. Face is white and says Illinois Watch Co in script. Second hand missing in small circle. Case is gold color and has wear (online research shows it to be gold filled but I see no gold filled markings see picture of research). Inside workings read 17 jewel and number 1445878, Adjusted Safety Pinion, Illinois Watch Co lakeshore Springfield. The watch works sometimes but I know nothing about watches and have not messed with it and maybe just needs winding, key or ?. But when open to the inside it spins. There is also a number on the side that says 8469824 that matches the other number. I see no cracks in glass. Normal light scratches and wear. Front and back screw off. Says online late 1800s to early 1900 with this serial number and there were 300 made in its run. Please see all pictures as part of the description and email questions before bidding.
