HIBBARD SPENCER BARTLETT & CO on the pen blade.Made on contract by the New York Knife Company for Hibbard, spencer, Bartlett of Chicago, circa 1890’s to 1920’s.3-1/2” closed “Swell-End Jack Knife”.Iron bolsters, brass liners and old style hand-peened handle pins.Both blades have strong snap, half stop, no wobble. The clip and pen blades each have some sharpening loss, scratches, gray patina.Classic jigged brown “NYK” bovine bone handles.The handles have minor pocket wear, no cracks or damage.
