Description: This is a nice antique 19th century Herbert K Bourne engraving Last Moments of the Czar. In pretty nice shape as the pics show with some minor foxing and wear to the print and minor wear to the frame and comes exactly as shown. Frame measures 8 1/2" x 6 1/2" and the sight is 6 1/2" x 4 1/4" Last Moments of the Czar, (c1857). The death of Tsar Nicholas I of Russia (1796-1855), who died on 2 March 1855 at the Winter Palace in St Petersburg. The Tsar refused medical treatment after catching a chill, and died of pneumonia, although there were rumors he had committed suicide. [Virtue & Co.
