Description: A 6 3/4 inch tall cylinder-shaped deep PURPLE AMETHYST colored antique HEINZ # 49 sauce bottle. What's great about this bottle is that it has the Heinz Trade Mark picture of a Skeleton Key / Keystone motif embossed in the center of it, an early Heinz trade mark. This is an ORIGINAL ANTIQUE hand Blown Into Mold (BIM) bottle dating back to the 1800's. Bottle embossed on front: "TRADE / H. J. HEINZ CO. / MARK / PITTSBURGH, PA" with an embossed picture of the Keystone trade mark in the center. Bottle embossed on base: "H 49 / 10 oz." Condition: Bottle is in good solid condition. It has one small scrape on the top edge of the lip, possibly even a manufacturing defect. Otherwise there isn't anything specifically wrong with it; NO cracks, chips, dings, damage, etc. PLEASE see pictures for idea of overall appearance/condition.Age: An ORIGINAL ANTIQUE hand-blown bottle (Blown-In-Mold = BIM) with a wide mouth tooled top, ca. late 1800's. Shipping: FREE domestic shipping. We DO ship Internationally but we do NOT insure International orders unless buyer specifically requests this and we are able to provide an insurance estimate. If an international shipping charge is much more than the actual shipping cost, we will refund the excess so what YOU pay for shipping/insurance is very close to, if not exactly, the ACTUAL shipping costs! This is important for foreign buyers to know as most of our foreign shipping charges are estimates. We do not falsify information on the Customs Form, such as a price other than what the actual purchase price is, so please do not request us to do so. We ship several times a week and your prompt payment will hasten the turn-around time. This is an antique HEINZ bottle that we'd never seen before until we dug this one up in the old 6th Ward District of Helena, Montana, the old part of town by the depot. I don't believe you see Heinz bottles with the KEYSTONE trade mark embossed on them. Then there is the DARK PURPLE color. You hear about old glass turning purple in the sunlight ... this bottle has been exposed to a high heat/light source to enrich the purple color that would naturally occur if exposed to sun light for a prolonged period of time. With few exceptions, only clear glass from before 1914 will turn sun-colored-amethyst. The 'H 49' base embossing is why we reference this as a Heinz # 49 bottle. This is a scarce HEINZ bottle, one that is rarely seen for sale, especially nice in the dark sun-colored-amethyst. Not only does this deep purple/amethyst color make it a great looking bottle, but it also authenticates it as being truly antique, check it out!Terms of Sale: Our goal is 100% customer satisfaction.
