Description: Antique handmade brick lot of two from the firing kiln 1880 mining operation of the historic Ore Knob Copper Mine, North Carolina. This listing is for lot of 2 full bricks made on site from the surrounded ground material from the mine area, smelting ore kiln bricks original operational on-site ore separation. Red and gray mix in color. Used to melt ore from the mine. Early 1800s to mid 1800 timeline. There is a possibility that some bricks are older. The town history goes back to the 1700s. It is possible the bricks are from the 1700s to mid 1800s timeline. Review photos for details. Lot of 2 full bricks that vary slightly in size. Larger lots are available upon request. If you need a certain amount for a project, contact me for adjusted shipping and number of bricks you would like. For larger orders (more than two) reasonable offers are welcome. These bricks are solid and heavy, average weight is about five pounds per full brick. Half bricks are also available. 10 lots of two bricks listing, larger lots of the same mining bricks are available upon request. There are not many photos of the old mining operation. In the photos above are of the site before it completely fell apart.
