Description: Antique Gorham Sterling Silver Pierced Bowl Dish Open Work Early 1868s For your consideration here is antique pierced sterling silver dish made by the Gorham Silver Co.. ornate with a decorative Gadrroon ppierced edging It'is marked with the Gorham mark, STERLING and a Gorham silver mark featuring the letter “A” and # 288 By 1868, additions to existing Gorham silver marks were necessary thanks to the company’s adoption of sterling silver wares. As such, each year of production between 1868 - 1884 was noted with a capital letter. A Gorham silver mark featuring the letter “A.” mean 1868 year Gorham Sterling Silver Pierced Bowl Dish measures: 3 1/4 inches in diameter x 1 1/4 inches tall it's weighs 35,2 grams and is marked with the Gorham mark, sterling and the number A288. This antique pierced sterling silver dish made by the Gorham Silver Co. is in good condition . It does have a few light scratches here and a light dent near one of the ball leg . It needs some cleaning and a good polish.The bowl, dish is in original found good condition with stunning patina. Wear Consistent with Age. Minor signs of age and use consistent with age.
