Antique hand made Victorian painting wooden gold gilded picture frame, 22-1/2” inches by 20-1/2” inches frame measurements, 3” wide or thick, back measurements 6-1/4” inches on all 4 sides to portrait opening with a 1/4” inch lip for the portrait or painting to sit on. It has a 9-3/4” by 8” painting opening. It’s a very solid and well made frame, it’s design is over a hundred years old, there is small gilding flaking in multiple areas, small digs and scratches,some nails heads and one is penetrating the corner frame, the previous owner replaced the painting with a mirror, needed to remove all the backing paper and staples,screws, brackets, lightly wiped but being careful not to destroy or damage the gilding or aging. very heavy frame 7 lbs. - 3 ounces, No repairs, restoration was done. There is some staining, not sticky or it doesn’t rub off, no wood splitting, will leave it up to the new owner to make any changes. In my opinion it is ready to go.
