Description: Mom says it's time to clean out the garage & as every husband knows, "Yes Dear" ensures domestic tranquility. Antique German R S M (mit Rose) - Schnekenburger & Reinhold Vienna Regulator 16-Day Time/Strike Key-Wind Walnut Wall Clock Condition: Good working, keeps good time (last adjustment had it losing 1 minute/week), long ago the chime would infrequently get out of sync & the seller we bought it from added a small washer on nylon string to pull to get it back in sync. (see the pictures) Recently cleaned & oiled, should be good for four years before next cleaning/oiling. I was told when we bought this that it had an 8-day time-strike movement. I wound it up on March 2nd at 1:15am & let it run down; it stopped on March 19th at 7:45am. 17 days 6 hours 30 minutes, a very conservative 8 days & the chime did not get out of sync once. I've always wound it once a week, but it appears I could have done the windings every other week. As with any antique clock, it will need to be set up level and adjusted after transporting. If you have any questions before buying or after refeceiving, eBay message me; I answer every message. Word trade mark: R S M (mit Rose)Manufacturer: Reinhold Schnekenburger GmbH Manufacturer location: Mühlheim (Donau), DeutschlandMade sometime between 1882 & 1900, Schnekenburger GmbH Reinhold Schnekenburger Mühlheim / Donau - Germany Formerly Rupert Ammann (1867), several owner changes, sold to Reinhold Schnekenburger 1882, bankrupt 1900(?), taken over by Uhrenfabrik Muller & Co who changed the Rose insignia to a LionSN 92113 was made in 1890 & SN 93865 in 1899, which would make SN 92041 sometime in 1889 or 1890. They were made in batches of 25, so this is the 21st of 25 in the batch. Some were also stamped with the pendulum length which may explain why pendulum 40cm is scratched into the movement. The face is inscribed "Gebr. Loesch Leipzig." which Google redirects to "Gebrüder Loesch Leipzig," the Loesch brothers, who made pocket watches in Leipzig around 1900. They don't appear to have made wall clock movements, & I suspect the face is not original. Included: German Wall Clock with cast pendulum #4 winding key, metal #4 winding key, wooden handled Suspension Springs (2), long ago I bought a three pack from S.Larose who is no longer in business, the first is still working fine Brass #12x3" wood mounting screw handmade heavy duty two ply cardboard box & lots of bubble wrap for wooden housing & pendulum second two ply cardboard box with lots of bubble wrap for the movement & accessories 16 lb 4oz 16 1/2x7 1/2x38 3/4 in width depth height before packing I've been very reluctant to offer local pickup after someone in Texas won an inexpensive auction & didn't notice the Arizona item location & elected local pickup to save a few bucks... Shipping is pricey & packing this right is a lotta work, & I've already done the work, but if you live in the Phoenix area and would like to do local pickup, eBay message me. Shipping includes $400 insurance on both boxes. If you want a signature required, select Shipping Handling; if not, don't select it. If you don't want it & can't not select it, eBay message me & I'll refund any monies you paid for Shipping Handling & do my best to make sure signature is not required. I know the shipping & signature charges appears high, but it's the what USPS charges for two boxes & two signatures.
