Description: This antique 1920’s Armand Marseille German doll, with charming blue sleep eyes, two teeth and cloth body, is a rare find for collectors. The doll, measuring 12 inches in length, features a bisque head and celluloid hands. The “Mama Crier” does work. The mold # on the dolls neck reads 359/949. This doll is in very good condition with no chips, cracks or missing parts. The celluloid hands are in good condition and the cloth body is in very good, clean condition. The bisque head is amazingly flawless after all these years. The blue eyes open & close perfectly. The open mouth shows two little teeth. We believe there is a tongue that has slipped inside the head but cannot confirm. Facial make-up is bright and clear with no scratches or marks. The cloth body is still firm and has no rips or tears. The head and hands are firmly attached. This doll comes with a set of very nice clothing which includes a pinned diaper, long stockings (pinned to the body), an under slip and a beautifully detailed Christening gown with cap. The under slip appears to be newer but all other clothing items could be original?? Please enlarge all photos to examine. Request additionally info/photos if necessary.
