Description: Antique German 830 Solid Silver Tray/Dish Scalloped Form by Gottlieb Kurz c.1930s Description: Nice ornate saucer or small tray made of solid silver. Marked with German half-moon and crown silver mark, 830 for silver standard and the maker's mark indicating it was made by Gottlieb Kurz, a silversmith in the town of Schwabisch Gmund. Ornate scalloped Baroque style shape with engraved initials "G.J.K". Dated 1951 on the back but judging by style of engraved initials is earlier - most likely from the 1920s - 1930s, the date on the back was added later. The tray is 5" in diameter, weights 2.2 oz or over 60 grams. Excellent condition with only minor age-related dings and scratches.
