Description: Super cute Heubach hand-painted porcelain bisque figurine of a naked little boy with his arms wrapped around his knees, knees up against his chest, looking to his right with the most endearing expression on his face. I say he is pleased with himself but the books call him laughing baby. Very nicely modeled action baby with detailed molded hair, fingers, toes, you can see muscles in his back! Topping him with the sweetest happy expression. Approximately 4.25” high, 3” back to front, and 1.75” wide. He is in wonderful condition, clean, with no chips, cracks or repairs. Just an incredibly sweet German piano baby made by Gebrüder Heubach, Lichten, Germany, in the 1880's to the 1920's. He can be seen on page 60 of Carol Ann Stanton’s “Heubach’s Little Characters Dolls & Figurines 1859-1930” book. He will be double-boxed and carefully wrapped to ensure he makes it to you safe and sound!
