George Albert Wellman (1828 - 1894) Born 15 Oct 1828 in Cumberland, Providence, Rhode Island, United States George Wellman was an artist. He initially found employment painting floral arrangements and landscapes on Victorian era wooden furniture in the fashion of that era. He later sold the furniture he painted, and established the G.A. Wellman & Son furniture store on 152 North Street in Boston.
