Description: These early stands have a lead tag set into the casket rests with "Cleveland Burial Case Co" inscribed. Also pressed into the wood is Patd 1888. The old painted surface shows wear, but has a great look. To open and close simply pull down on the inner set of legs and turn. Originally they had a lot more spring tension, but the springs are not as springy as they once were. The stands support as well as they ever did. These stand 22 1/2", the casket rests are 17", and the legs have a 19 1/2" stance. Neat old stands. Please see all of the photos to determine the condition.
