Antique FRENCH Provincial 18th C Carved OAK BRETON Cabinet CUPBOARD Sideboard

Description: From a spectacular Rye New York waterfront estate, we have a great pleasure to offer you this RARE Antique 18th / 19th Century French Provincial Breton Cupboard Sideboard / Server Cabinet. This is an extra large example, featuring two pairs of large hinged doors, two on top section with two shelves inside (only one in the photo, but there are two), and two doors on the base with two more shelves, and a slide shelf on the left. Each door has a long bronze escutcheon over keyhole, parallel to large hinges on other end of the door, and also present are the original locks and keys. Above the bottom shelf is a wide drawer with two original period bronze handles. Piece is made of richest oak, gorgeously carved, superb quality by all standards. Back of the piece bears a very interesting maker's mark / logo, please give it a look. Condition is good overall, showing typical use / age wear, with splits and nicks, as it should being 200+ years old (please see photos). Massive and heavy at 55.5" wide top molding (53.5" wide base), 24" deep, and 84.25" in height (38.5" base height). Great addition to any collection, any setting, traditional or mid-century modern, and a very useful piece that will serve generations to come!
