Description: This is an antique, circa 1890 French Majolica egg cup in the form of a baby chick and egg. The maker is George Dreyfus. The egg cup is approximately 2 3/8" tall. There are no chips or cracks. There is some discoloration to crazed areas as is typical for antique Majolica pottery. There was some shrinkage to the clay in the bottom interior of the cup caused by uneven thicknesses when this was fired. This is a very cute, and rare antique Majolica egg cup!
