Description: Antique French Limoges Art Plate Great Marks & Artist Signed c.1891-1914. This is a beautiful piece with scalloped , pearled and Gold trim rim and featuring a game bird, the favorite subject of the renowned Artist Duval. Duval was a prolific artist in Limoges in the 1890s through the beginning of WWl and maintains a strong auction history. This piece has the Makers Marks of the Coiffe Porcelaine Factory and the importers Marks of Lewis Straus & Sons and is also signed by Duval. It features the Golden Bobwhite Quail facing left. It measures 9.75” in diameter and is in excellent antique condition.
