Description: From an upstate New York estate. Circa 1850-1870. The surround was manufactured by James L Jackson. Upon looking this up he was in business from 1850s to 1877. The Insert was made by Bent & sons. Also circa mid 1800s. Both solid pieces and work well together. Just as they were found. Would clean up nicely or keep the patina. Approximately 31- 1/2 inches tall X 25 inches wide.
