Description: Nice antique brass Faries lamp. 1912 patent date on base with 1913 dates on the wing-nuts at joints. Two joint allow you to position the lamp in any way that suits your needs. It has a doughboy helmet style shade. The base must be the deluxe option because it’s much more ornate than the base on any of the other brass Faries desk lamps that I’ve seen. The shade supports seems to be slightly misshapen. When the lamp is positioned straight up and down it does not stand completely straight. When the joints are at angles it’s not an issue. Please examine photos carefully. It’s a very nice lamp from the golden era of American lamp making. It was in the personal collection of the former owner of a high end NY antique store. The cord is in good shape and the lamp works as designed. The socket is a “Deal” brand socket 250W, 250V. Ships ASAP! Thanks When positioned straight the lamp is approximately 17” tall. The base is roughly 9.5” long.
