Description: Antique Ethiopian Phenolic Resin Amber Bead, butterscotch color in an interesting and modern cube shape. This bead is approximately from the earlier 20th century, around the 1940s with some wear and grime apparent, although I cleared some off. The bead is approximately 20 mm by 20 mm and has developed a lovely soft patina. Beads of this type were originally made mostly in England and Germany, then traded to West Africa. This bead in particular was traded into Ethiopia. Weight is 10 g. No filters were used for the photos. Difference in coloration is due to variations in natural lighting to show how the beads look in different settings. Thank you!
