Description: Here is a uncommon good quality mid to late 19th century English porcelain trompe-l'oeil plate possibly Minton. Hand painted to the centre with three pears with one being cut away. The plate has a pieced border with a double gilt band decoration. Marked to the base with a retailer mark for W. P. & G. Phillips of London and dates between 1858 to 1897. Also there is an incised mark that i can not make out and has three stilt marks to the centre. SIZE: The plate measures 9 1/8 inches in diameter. Weighs 346g before packing.
