We are seeking fully informed buyers who are serious and fully convinced that they will like their purchase from us :) Offered here is antique Elgin Veritas railroad grade 453 watch in a 10K rolled gold plate TAHYS MONTAUK 20 years guaranteed case.For the people who do not know about the process, 2 plates of gold with a brass plate in between were put through a rolling mill together until the desired thickness was reached.This process assured for a much thicker gold surface on the case. Many of these watches have lasted for 100 years or more with hardly any sign of brassing. This watch case is nice and only show a few signs of brassing on the bow.It is the case that was originally paired with this movement.Very nice, artistic design of engraving on the back cover. The 23 jewels movement is running strong!The dial is double sunk and does not show any hairlines. This watch dates to 1921 based on Elgin Co. records. This model is of low production numbers, only 9000 made!!
