Antique Edward Miller Juno Wrought Iron Electrified Oil Table Lamp & Shade

Description: Another item from Country Artifacts, Great Northern Liquidation, Springfield, Vermont.18" diameter x 10" high shade, 13" diameter x 31" high lamp as you see it.This is an original Juno Oil Lamp by Edward Miller, electrified in the earlier part of the 20th Century and rewired more recently (1970s probably). It would have had a glass shade and burner originally, but when electrified it was given a very fine sculptural floral pattern shade, made of a wire frame with reinforced paper panels and paper piping. This shade is very delicate but still intact with some piping loss and panels that are starting to separate from the frame in places. If you keep the shade, it could be used the way it is with some light leak wherever the piping is missing, restored, or you could recover the frame with fabric, paper, etc.The original Juno oil font is included with the electric hardware, which we checked over to make sure it's operational. New insulators for the socket shells would be a good idea at some time, but the old ones are still working OK even though quite old now.
