Description: An antique butter dish, pattern #101 a.k.a. ' Crossed Fern ', an EAPG (Early American Pattern Glass) design introduced in 1886 by Cooperative Flint Glass Company of Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania. It was also listed as a honey dish in some wholesale catalogs from that time, with and without the lid. It is 7-3/4" x 5-5/8", with an elaborate, yet balanced design of stippling, loops, beading and leaves. There are 2 small chips on the edge of the inner rim, and one underneath the edge of the lid (see last photo) and some roughness around the inside edges but otherwise it is in excellent shape, crystal clear and presents beautifully.
