Appears to be walnut veneer over cherry. Lock works, original key. Brass hinges sturdy. Bottom ink stamp '17521'? Bottom scratches shown in photo. Corner felts added, removable.Veneer overall in good firm condition with finish changes consistent with age including rough areas, visible seams.
