Description: I am listing a nice group of vintage clothing and petticoats. This listing is for a pretty mid weight cotton petticoat. The decoration at the hem is what makes it quite special. There are loops of lace hemstitched to the cotton creating a scalloped hemline. The lace loops are completely filled with bundles of blue French knots that remind me of flowers. It is such a beautiful addition that I can picture it peeping out from under a Edwardian dress! The waist closes with a single button. I am estimating an age of 1900 - 1920 on this one. This beautiful antique petticoat is sturdy and wearable, especially with a waist that when laid flat measures 15” , making a total waist size of 30". There is scattered staining. I bet a soak in Biz would work wonders!
