Description: Here is an absolutely wonderful tiger maple chest in old refinish . Smooth quarter columns making this most likely southern lancaster county . Seldom seen and rather hard to find. Best we can tell the chest has original feet with possibly glue blocks replaced and looks like the rear foot backing on one side was replaced a long time ago , that area seemed to have some old bug damage years ago . 38 inches high, case is 39 inches the top is 41 inches 20.5 deep, top also looks original and is dovetailed. this is a fantastic usable chest the drawers work as they should , there other minor areas show one area on the lip of the drawer, marks scratches etc etc, we didnt clean it or do anything to it . Please ask any questions circa 1770-1780 . I wonder what it would cost in todays world to have this chest replicated ? This one with proper care will stand the test of time ! simply wonderful period chest with outstanding patina !
