Description: This is an Antique Chinese Ming Dynasty Inkstone with Wood Storage Box. The Inkstone is in Very Good Condition. The Box is in good condition but has a crack line across the middle of the lid. See last picture for close up. The lid does not sit in any grooves and just sits on top without locking into place. Inside the box under the inkstone was the two pictured receipt papers. The paper reads that the inkstone was bought in Xian China at a Cultural Merchandise shop for approximately $700 and was dated to the Ming Dynasty as a Palace inkstone for vermillion color ink. The Inkstone is 4 1/8" by 2 3/4" by 1/4" thick and weighs 5.8 OZ. The Box is 4 5/8" by 3 1/4".
