Description: CHINESE HUIKEE SWATOW PEWTER BOX WITH DRAGON LID - APPROX 1900 This is an antique Chinese pewter box, with a lid that fits on the top and covers all 4 sides. This was left in my father’s estate. My research about it indicates that this is made in Swatow, China by pewter maker, Huikee. It is marked on the inside top lid with Huikee Swatow imprint (with some additional Chinese characters). The top of the lid is hand-decorated with a finely etched dragon; and bamboo on all sides of the lid. There are a few dings on the lid. The box has some dents to the sides that do not affect its use. A very nice looking piece of pewter craftsmanship. Dimensions are approx 6”x3-1/2” x 2-1/2”h. Net weight is 1 pound 8 oz.I am asking $150. plus shipping.
