The carving is exquisitely done and shows Laozi riding a water buffalo while two attendants look on. The figure has a wonderful patinated gilt finish, and is currently affixed to a red board backing, it can de displayed as is or framed if you desire. This exquisite piece will make a fine addition to any Chinese artifact collection. CONDITION: The sculpture presents well and is in very good antique condition, with minor display wear and patina commensurate with age. There is minimal loss to gilding. No major damage noted aside from a few very small areas of loss to some lower edges of carving. Please review all photos before purchasing.
