Antique Central Pennsylvania Primitive Paint Decorated Document or Money Box

Description: The item for sale is an original antique paint decorated box. This item has been in a private collection for many years. This is a 19th century box in first paint. The box has a black ground with the decoration in a polychrome paint. The inside black trim of the box may not be original black paint. Looks like it may have been enhanced a little. The rest of the box is first original paint. You can see that by the crazing. There is some minor ware as shown in the pics. There is a small chip to the back bottom rim and some loss of paint to the back by the hinges and base. The box has minor ware from use. The box has an early square nailed construction. I do not have a key for the box. Check the pics. It is about 4" tall and 12" by 8". Check the pictures they are the best description. Any questions feel free to text me 6107635151.
