Description: Antique (Cellulose) Nitrate Film Negative #71 Gentlemen Gathering for Bicycle Ride Gents standing around talking. Love the bicycle! Check out the roof line of this old house. This Negative measures 3 1/2" x 6". With all the information I read online I can see that this photography subject is way above my pay grade and I am guessing these are a Cellulose Nitrate type of film used since they are from the turn of the 20 century. Since I know nothing about these antique negatives I have tried to photograph as best I can. I used a software program to convert the negative into what you would expect to see in a photo. Please ask questions and I will try to answer. These were bought at a house sale that the family was doing and they knew nothing about them. These negatives were included with all the glass negatives that I have sold and continue to sell until all are sold. All of these nitrate negatives and the glass negatives came from an area of Pasadena Ca and some were from the East Coast New York Area according to pencil hand written notes. I think these date from late 1800s, turn of the 20 century into the early 1900s. They consist of people, places, things, houses, buildings, ships, animals and landscapes. I just found them very interesting. Some are not in great shape as I doubt they were stored properly and I am selling "as is". See all photos.
