Description: I put the photo of the whole place setting on this listing because I am selling all the pieces in the place setting but have decided to list each piece individually. These were my great grandmother’s, passed eventually to me through older cousins. My great grandmother shopped for her trousseau in New York; these were made by Cauldon Ltd for Higgins & Seiter in New York around the turn of the century, 1900. My arthritic hands can’t do much polishing anymore and I rarely entertain so it seems wisest to send these off to a better home. The monogram, my great grandmother’s initials, LGL, is in sterling silver like the trim of the plate. They are in remarkable condition. They were professionally packed and have been living in boxes in my cedar closet for years. I have 12 place settings but am going to start by listing 6 of each item. The matching items are listed on my page, unless they have been sold. Simple elegance.
