Description: Antique Carolina Lily Quilt PA C1860 Mennonite. Extremely graphic quilt, made with very unusual fabrics. The orange and pink prints are the same design in different colors. The yellow in the outer border is a very intense hue that I have never seen before. Wonderful 1860s period blue/green print back. Entirely hand pieced and quilted. Never used or washed. Major stain in one block and moisture marks in other places coming from the green fabric. Smaller stains in other blocks. Quilted in cables in the border and around the pieces at 5-6 stitches per inch. Very large, 80x96 in. Pictured in Country Quilts special issue of Antique Quilts Magazine in fall of 2001, where there is an article about my collection. Will copy article if desired.
