Description: This lovely porcelain depiction of a young man wooing his love is available for sale. It is marked, stamped "Made In Italy" and includes the remnant of a sticker on the base. This piece is in excellent condition free of chips and cracks, except the lady's and man's hand, one section, has been reattached, as shown, in the last two photos. It is easily overlooked. The porcelain form's craftsmanship is exceptional. Of note, is the particularly exacting hand painted gold detailing. The subtle colors of their outfits are complimented by bright touches such as the light blue pants and orange corset. This piece was created To be viewed from all sides and angles. The back exhibits an artful view of the Rococo stool with the young man's shoes, delicately perfected. The work has a matt glaze with bright gold detailing. Because I am not an authority on Capodimonte porcelains I can only guess the age of this piece to be early/mid 20th century. Questions and information are welcomed at Erstwhiles on eBay.
