Description: This is an Antique Porcelain Plate that has been beautifully hand painted with pink and blue morning glories. This backstamp is called the Crown mark, and was used after 1908 by the company named the Nogoya Seito Sho Ltd which was founded by K. Asukai, a former Nortike employee. Also the word Nippon, which is Japanese for Japan, was on items from the early 1890’s until 1921, when the US required the company of origin to be printed in English. So this plate was probably made sometimes betweeen 1908 and 1921. The 6 & 1/4 inch plate is trimmed in gold with opened, flowering morning glories on one side of the plate and pink buds on the other side of the plate. There are no cracks, crazing or chips. It is in especially excellent shape for a plate over 100 years old. Please zoom in for a closer look, and see the shine of the gold and the glaze on the plate in the 360 degree video. I pack with lots of bubble wrap for safe shipping and ship out quickly, sometimes same day, always by next business day, and sometimes on Saturdays if I can get it packed and to the post office before they close at noon. Any questions, please ask and thanks for looking!
