Description: Charming framed antique advertisement for a early 1900's wine merchant. The piece features a Gibson Girl dressed for riding in the automobile under a stone archway. The brightly colored lithography piece is embossed (3-D) with applied glitter. Kraft paper backing indicates professional framing. The title at top reads: "Tel: West M{letter not legible} ~ Tel: Union 274 ~ Compliments of D. Miller & Co. ~ Wine Merchants ~ On the Square ~ Providence, Rhode Island". Approximate age: circa 1910 Dimensions: Total framed piece diameter 15.5" wide x 21.25” tall x 0.75” thick. Advertising litho alone is 11-5/8" wide x 17.25 tall. Condition: Very good giftable condition. Mentionable issues: Loss of frame gilding in numerous spots, in particular upper left hand corner, and b) Two bottom corners have old folds / bends, which have been flattened in the framing process (see photo #15). Otherwise, paper image is in pristine condition, without visible wear, discoloration, tears, or stains. Glass free from cracks, breaks, or chips. Unpacked weight: 3 lbs. 8 oz.
