Description: Condition: Excellent, without crazing, chips, cracks, wear or restoration This porcelain plate was produced in England by Brownfield’s China from the 1870s to 1880s. The retailer Steele Brothers of Philadelphia had it specially made. It measures 9 1/4” in diameter. It is made of fine, white bone china. The border is deep cobalt blue with gold trim and embossed decorations. The center is hand painted with a Japanese style flower box and a large poppy. Notice the buttercup below. The painting is high quality and vibrantly colored. The flower box is done in embossed gold. You will often see similar Aestheic styled subject matter from Minton and Worcester. These plates are exceptionally fine and highly decorative. #C302 IMPORTANT: PLEASE DO NOT PAY until you have purchased all the items you plan to bid on.
