Description: Antique Stoneware Batter or Milk Pitcher Ribbed Small Monmouth A ribbed brown pottery milk batter pitcher made by Monmouth Pottery. A traditional maple leaf with a M to indicate its maker. Rich Farmhouse Decor. A beautiful batter pitcher in the Brown Stone Ware design. Cute little ribbed pottery piece. Perfect for farmhouse decor that can be functional or decorative! Monmouth Pottery Company started in Monmouth, Illinois somewhere in the 1890's and became part of Western Stoneware Company around 1906. The maple leaf mark was used on its larger pieces until 1930. Measures: 3.75 inches high. Diameter of top measurement without spout is 6.50 inches. Base is 3 inches. Widest point which include the handle approx. 8.50 inches. A few small flakes around the lip of the pour spout to indicate its age. Please note all photos for they too are a part of our descriptions.
