Description: This is an Antique Bronze Figure / Statue: Boy Riding Horse w/ Dog. This is an impressive antique bronze statue of a barefooted boy riding a horse with a dog chasing close behind. The detail on this piece is really impressive. Both the horse and the boy are looking at the dog who appears to be chasing and barking at them. The boy's hand is raised as if he is either trying to get the horse to run faster or perhaps checking out the dog. This statue measures approximately 10" tall and 10" wide. No maker marks could be found. The photos will show how fantastic this piece truly is. It's possible that this piece was previously mounted on a base but I am unsure. I have found a couple others in my search for more info but they either have a broken tail on the dog or the boy's whip is missing. This one appears to be intact though the horse reins are delicate. The statue weighs just under 5 pounds. The patina could be cleaned but I have not attempted that and will leave it up to the buyer. Overall, this is a very nice piece that displays well.
