Description: An early Arts and Crafts ceiling pendant light with flame globe. The light was removed from one of the older homes in Asheville, NC. As shown, the brass light has a heavy patina and verdigris. The wiring has been updated. The socket is the original Union socket, from around 1907 as it is an early version Bryant before Bryant invented the snap together "wrinkle" cap and shell. We try to keep the original sockets and other components as they are heavy duty and much higher quality than today's flimsy and cheaply made sockets. The Union socket was cleaned, polished, received a new insulator, and is in working order, ready for another 100 years of service. Socket cover has a 2.25" fitter. The light is shown as a pendant, but it could be mounted horizontally as a sconce. 18.5" drop with globe; 14" drop without globeBack plate is 4.5" x 4.5" Please see our other listings for a large selection of antique and vintage lighting. Antique and vintage lighting should be tested and installed by a licensed electrician.
