Description: Antique Book, Poems, by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, published circa 1900-1910 by Hurst & Company Hardcover with a faux reptile-like padded covering on the boards, 240 pages There is no copyright or publication date, but an online search indicates Hurst & Company published this volume in the early 1900s. The book is clean and solid with only a few issues after 120+ years. The covering on the boards is rubbed/scuffed in places, the corners are bumped/chipped, and there is shelf wear. The binding has separated from the spine and the back cover is split, but the binding is intact and the the pages are all attached. Some of the letters are smudged which appears to have occurred when the book was printed. It is a small book at 6 inches x 4 inches x 1 inch and 8 oz, but it includes a wide variety of Longfellow's work such as "Midnight Mass For the Dying Year," "Woods In Winter," "The Wreck of the Hesperus," "The Village Blacksmith," and "The Slave's Dream." This book would make a wonderful addition to any collector's library.
