Description: Antique Etched Silver plated caddy for a Blue Boar Rough Cut tobacco tin. After the tin is opened, it is slid into the caddy from the bottom, and the retainer spring clipped on to hold it in. The outside of the caddy has an etched design of an English Street scene showing the outside of the Blue Boar Inn, some other neighboring buildings and a couple of horse drawn carriages. The lid features the image of a Boar surrounded by etched oak leaves, the reverse side of the lid is signed by the maker "Reed & Barton" (picture 11) It measures approx. 6" high and a 5-3/4" Base. Some dings along the base and some silver loss.(pictures 8,9) The antique Blue Boar Rough Cut Pipe Tobacco tin has great graphics of a Boar Hunt, no lid and Original tax stamp, My listings are mostly all used, vintage or antique condition.
