Description: We have an authentic Victorian Christmas ornament. It is in the shape of a hanging basket but may have been intended to look like a bird nest as there are two beads looking like eggs in the basket. The basket is intricately made with many lines of wire (see photo) and the three feet of the basket are wire that is braided and twisted (looks like macrame). The interior of the basket and the haners of the basket are made from Victorian tinsel. The height of the ornament from bottom of feet to top of hanger is 3 1/4 inches. This ornament really is as it was when first made. The hanger arms appear a little warn but the basket itself appears to be in very good condition.
