Description: Antique Austrian tea cup and saucer set in the “Bridal Rose” pattern, made sometime between 1902 and 1918 by Porzellanfabrik Adolf Persch. (Dated by the backstamp, A.P. Queen Austria in a shield shape.) Gorgeous ornate handle. No cracks or chips that I can detect—it’s in great shape for century-old porcelain. The rose pattern remains bright and colorful. Some wear to the gold, especially on the handle, but the pretty gold diamond pattern around the rims of the cup and the saucer is intact. Happy to supply additional photos on request. All fine china pieces (and other ware) are briefly soaked and hand washed in warm soapy water with a mild detergent when I acquire them. I generally don’t do anything more abrasive for fear of damaging them, especially the really old pieces. When I mail them, I pack them very thoroughly using a mixture of foam padding, paper wrap, and recycled packing materials such as bubble wrap and air packets. I pay special attention to delicate things like teacup handles, and generally do my utmost to ensure that they arrive intact.
