Description: Mahogany Empire or Empire Style settee -love seat possibly 1840 era - but I cannot say for sure……may be a little earlier …..reupholstered possibly mid 20 century or later with beautiful classical motif silky feel material with 500 plus rounded brass fabric decorative and a puffier more modern fill than horsehair……..30 inches high at the back center …….. 62 inches length left to right ……. cushioned seat is about 17 inches from the middle of the cushion to the floor…… depth from front to back is about 23”…….sitting on it - the legs and base feel solid and secure with only slightest amount of movement …the feet have some loss to them in area underneath where the original casters were……the small arm rest end wooden curls were broken off and glued back ……I looked at a screw I took out on back bumper and it had pointed shaft …… under the later black liner on the underside you can see a burlap woven original or old lining…..local pick up in central Pennsylvania Blair County
