Description: This appears to be an Antique African DR Congo Short Sword ????? Hand Forged,Hand Made & Hand Decorated Steel etching. It’s truly a primitive piece of ceremonial or warfare art. I’ve had it for some time and it has an old string for hanging on a wall. Originally I thought it was a Pacific Islands weapon but after much research it may be something else. It just might be an African Tribal Ceremonial Sword and a prized possession of the original maker and owner. Those that bid on this item will know exactly what continent it came from and what period in history. It does show decades of wear, some rust to the Steel hilt under the hand made wooden handle and deep blade toning. The original wooden handle has pulled away a bit from the Steel hilt and does show a crack. I have not removed the wooden handle to see if there is a makers mark on the Steel hilt. Please see all photos as they are part of the description. It is a used item and being offered in “as-is” condition as described. I do not accept returns, so if you have any questions or need more detailed photos, please ask prior to placing your bid.
