The hand-painted portrait is based on Italian artwork from Florence (Firenze) in the 12th and 13th centuries. “Un Putto” is based on a 1487 enameled terracotta sculpture by Andrea della Robbia, (1435-1525) Italian Renaissance sculptor, in Florence of a swaddled Jesus in whose iconic images of the same, decorate the loggia of the Ospidale degli Innocenti in Florence, Italy. It is in remarkable cond. no chips, flaking or crazing. Very minor gold loss on trim. Colors are vibrant and bright.
