The rim does have some roughness on with some chipping but nothing that affects the look or structure at all. The metal bail is solid and works great. There is rust on the bail and build up. The lid is in good shape with no chips or cracks. The embossed print is bold and looks very nice. There is some surface wear and build up and may need some more cleaning.There is some heavy texture up around the neck of the jar. A very nice looking piece.
