Description: For Sale we are delighted to present this beautiful Antique 19th Century monogram signed oil painting on wooden panel of a milk maid herding & watering cattle monogram signed by Edmond Jean-Baptiste Tschaggeny (Belgian, active 1818-1873) Monogram signed to bottom right corner & dated 44 for 1844 mid range of the artist's career, also note the Christie's catalogue stenciled number's to rear. Condition Restored condition the panel has had a split top to bottom slightly left of centre, very sympathetic partial restoration the split glued to rejoin the panel as one with minor painted area to make almost invisible.
