Description: Intriguing antique 19th century c1880s original oil painting. Depicts a stunning scene of a coastal rocky shore spotted with trees alongside side a harbor, river or other large body of water. Sail boats can be seen on the water with a rising sunlit sky above. Medium is oil on academy board done in an Impressionist almost Realist style. Unsigned. Very well done with pleasing brushstrokes and great capture of light and depth. Framed in its original gold gilded gesso and wood frame and ready to hang. In Very Good overall. Clean and crisp with two small scuffs along the bottom left. Frame is very well preserved with just two small chips to the gesso along the base. Displays tremendously! Painting measures 16” x 8 1/2” and 19” x 11 1/4” with the frame.
